1. Basic cleaning: warm water and dish soap
The easiest and most direct way to clean a water bottle is to use warm water and add dishwashing liquid.
①. Add a few drops of dishwashing liquid and warm water
②. Put the cap on the bottle
③. Shake the water bottle for about 1 minute until the soap runs through the whole bottle. Scrub with a soft bristle toothbrush or brush to remove stains. Be careful not to wipe too hard to avoid damage to the body.
④. Air drying. Don't leave it in a damp environment to avoid bacteria, so keep it dry after washing. Do not dry with a hand cloth, which may allow bacteria to grow and contaminate the water bottle. Use paper towels instead.
2. Clean with baking soda
One of the most common ingredients in your home is baking soda, which can also kill bacteria when heated to water. If there are tea stains or coffee stains, you can also use baking soda to remove stains.
①. Add a few teaspoons of baking soda, then add hot water
②. Shake the water bottle vigorously
③. Stay for 15 minutes
④. Rinse with hot water and brush with a soft brush to decontaminate
⑤. dry
3. Clean with vinegar
To improve disinfection, use vinegar, which is naturally non-toxic. Its acidity can kill some bacteria, but not the flu virus. In addition, vinegar can also remove odors.
①. Rinse the water bottle with dishwashing liquid and hot water
②. Fill the water bottle with white vinegar, about 1/5 of the bottle's capacity, and then fill it with hot water until the bottle is full.
③. Wait for 10-15 minutes. If you want to enhance the effect, you can stay overnight and then clean.
④. Rinse thoroughly with hot water until odorless and difficult to clean with a brush.
⑤. Air drying.
4.3% hydrogen peroxide solution
If the water bottle is smelly or sticky, use low-concentration Hydrogen peroxide, such as 3%(Hydrogen peroxide, British: Hydrogen peroxide) to sterilize and disinfect.
①. Wash with water and detergent
②. Rinse with hot water
③. Pour 1/4 cup hydrogen peroxide into the bottle
④. Put on the cap and shake the bottle vigorously
⑤. Pour out hydrogen peroxide and rinse with clean water.
⑥. Air dry.
5. Cleaning method of bottle cap and drinking tube
①. Add baking soda or vinegar to 1 bowl of hot water
②. Immerse the cover in the solution and leave for 2-3 hours
③. Rinse with hot water and detergent, and clean the parts that are difficult to clean with a fine brush
④. To be air-dried
Do not brush aluminum and stainless steel water bottles too hard to avoid surface coating abrasion.
